Some ideas for fundraising that will help raise revenue

Entrance fee – place a minimum charge for your guests.

Race sponsorship – encourage individuals or groups of people either before or on the night to sponsor a race in the form of a flat fee or an auction (for example the “Sally Jones Stakes” or the “Panther Club Cup”).

Buy-ins – once a ‘punter’ runs out of fun money, they are able to buy some more for a fee or donation.

Sweepstakes – organise a sweep with a buy-in price.

Raffle Race – once guests buy tickets for a race, 8 are drawn at random and awarded a horse in a particular race. The winner may receive a special prize or more ‘fun money’ with which to place bets.

Programs – sell race night programs for a minimal fee.

Live and/or silent auctions.

Raffles – held in between races.

Selling food and drinks.

Consider a “Fashions on the Field” contest (make it as serious or silly as you like) and charge an entry fee.
