Get help. Set up a committee and to not just plan the fundraising, but also get as many volunteers as possible. Planning is great but you need to the people 'on the ground' to assign jobs to. The more you have, the more you can delegate.

Set goals. Developing targets and goals is a great way to give people something to aim for.

Incentives. Where possible, tie in incentives with your goals. That way you really give people something to aim for!

Launch your fundraising activity. Organise a kick-off or launch for your fundraising event. This helps to start it off with as much 'bang' as possible.

Be selective with your events. There's no point running fundraising activities every week or month. People either get sick of them or simply run out of money. Pick a couple of good events, and then focus on building them up as big as possible.

Promote, promote, promote. Start advertising your race night early and regularly to ensure maximum attendance.
